Conference, engagement, and preaching

Last Monday I was teaching at our Seminary and Emanuel University.
Tuesday, together with István Gergely, our president, and Vilmos Kis-Juhász a pastor near Cluj, we went to Budapest, to meet with the people who are involved in editing the Bible-reading Schedule for our churches. Each year we publish a material for the prayer hours, for Bible study, and preaching schedule, together with a daily Bible-reading programme. For each morning and evening we write a short meditation, based on these texts. This is a comprehensive work, used in all Hungarian baptist churches in the world. So, we had our regular meeting for preparing this, in Budapest. The last three years (and hopefully the following five years) I am in charge to elaborate the evening schedule of this programme. We had a fruitful fellowship together. I arrived home only Wednesday.
But on Wednesday evening I went to Sibiu, for a Mission Conference, organised by the Romanian Baptist Union. It was good to meet my former seminary colegues, and other Romanian pastors.
Thursday I visited the six fostered orphans in Idrifaia, and delivered them some help. In the evening we came to Zalau with the whole family: there was an engagement between a boy and a girl, both being related in a way with my wife's family.
Friday I was again at Emanuel University, continuing the Mission Conference with our Romanian brothers. There was also a useful meeting with the pastors who are responsible with theological education at different levels in the churches of this country. Two other vice presidents from the Convention of the Hungarian Baptist Churches acompanied me.
For tomorrow, on Sunday, I am going to preach at four different services: in the morning the dedication of the second child of Levente and Eniko Papp, in our church. At 1 o'clock pm. we will have a funeral service in Sangeorgiu de padure. Later I will preach in Targu Mures again, and than in the evening, in Cinta.
May the Lord bless His Word, as we try to deliver it to the hungry souls!
